I updated by iPhone and now I cannot get my Kindle library to download - it downloads onto my Kindle reader and my iPad ok - have I two Kindle accounts or passwords?

If you're able to sync to your Kindle AND iPad, it sounds like there's an issue with your iPhone and the Kindle Reader app. Try deleting the Kindle Reader app, power cycle your iPhone, then power on, re-download the Kindle Reader app and try your download again.

How to Install the Kindle App for iPad/iPhone The Kindle app can be used on any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with iOS 3.2 or greater installed. Installing the Kindle App Visit the App Store and download the Kindle app to start reading from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. To install the Kindle app: 1. Tap the App Store icon on the home screen of your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. You can also get the app through the iTunes Store. 2. Search for "Kindle" or find it in the alphabetical list of apps. 3. Follow the on-screen installation instructions. When installation is complete, tap the Kindle icon on your device to open the reading app. Registering the Kindle App To register your Kindle app, use your existing Amazon account e-mail address and password. If you live outside the United States and use the Kindle application, please see the Using the Kindle App if You Live Outside the United States Help page. Logging into your Amazon.com account through the Kindle app registers your device to your Amazon.com account. You can also tap the Settings icon (the cog) on the Kindle Home screen to view or change your account registration. Signing Out and Deregistering If you sign out of the Kindle app, your reading app is deregistered from your Amazon.com account. When you deregister, you can't download content to the Kindle app or send purchases to the app unless you register again. To deregister using the Kindle app: 1. Tap the Kindle icon on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. 2. Tap the Settings icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. 3. Transfer books from Kindle to iPad

You are able to move the books to computer, and then sync ebooks to iPad with iTunes. When the Kindle users connect their Kindle tablets to computer with the USB cable, their computers will recognize their Kindle tablets as external hard drives. Then the users can copy and paste the ebooks from Kindle to computer easily. After that, the users are able to sync the books from computer to iPad with iTunes.

This is easy to be done. But when users begin to sync their iPad with iTunes, they may come up with the sync problems of iTunes. The problem may come up when users sync ebooks from iTunes to iPad. During the sync, iTunes will erase all the non-purchased items in your iPad mini. If you are new to iOS devices, you will probably lose files during the sync with iTunes, so you'd better close the auto sync and manually sync the ebooks to your iPad mini with iTunes. The following tutorial will be helpful if you aren't sure about how to accomplish the task:
  1. Start iTunes and go to "Edit > Preference > Devices", and check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically".
  2. Plug iPad into computer via USB cable, and the software will recognize your iPad and display the iPad icon at the upper right corner.
  3. Click the iPad icon and choose "Books" in the summary panel. Choose the books you want to sync to iPad in the list below, and click "Apply" to start.

How do I get an amazon account to register kindle

You can go to the Amazon website either on your computer, phone, or other tablet and create a user that way. Then just sign in with your username and password. The sign in stuff is usually in the top right hand corner of a computer screen when you're at the top of the page. On mobile devices like tablets and iPads it is up there as well in the web browser. I think you can register the kindle as well when it is turned on. I just did mine after it was hooked up to the computer and synced for a bit.
