The computer crashed, and i would like to see if there is anyway i can restore it. it wont even work in safe mode

If your notebook has a cd or dvd drive you can put the operating system disk in it and restart the pc and try to boot from the disk to restore it. If you dont have a drive, then find out where the maker installed your recovery hardware and boot from there. Most either include it on a an additional drive partician or sometimes you can download it to a pen drive that you insert in a usb port and restore your system using that method.

My laptop get restart in an intervals or get hang ...

This will occur if the Windows files are Corrupted or Fragmented, the solution is to backup by logging in to Safe Mode. Please restart the computer and try pressing F8 Key to select Safe Mode. If the Safe Mode is working fine then please backup the data and Format the computer using the Window XP or the Operating System Disc which you have. If the Safe Mode is not working then use any Linux CD like Ubuntu ( it's free! Then boot the CD to backup the data for any external Hard Drive or Pen Drive and format the Notebook using the appropriate Operating System Disc like Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7.

I reciently installed a bigger HD and now I get the"blue screen from hell"!! How can I get it to boot on the new HD?,Ray

did you format the hard drive first?
typically you need to format the hard drive using the NTFS file system before you install your operating system.

does your bios recognize the hard drive?
make sure your bios detects the hard drive.

can you boot your computer in Safe Mode? If so, do that and use your error log to find the specific cause of the blue screen,

lastly post the blue screen error message on here to get a better answer.

My dell inspiron is not working

its not a big problem,first don't panic.just follow the steps i m telling you-
when computer give options like safe mode, safe mode with net working etc.enter on safe mode
after that if windows starts thn run your antivirus installed in your computer and if u dont hav antivirus then install it using pendrive or cd and run it.
after full scan od the system restart computer again.
if problem persists then again start your computer in safe mode and cut all the importand data from your c drive and paste it on d drive or e drive and reinstall XP or VISTA but remember while installing XP OR VISTA computer will ask you to format whole computer or the c drive only,u only format c drive.
tht's it

and always have one good antivirus installed in your system and update it regularly.

Can get the aspire to boot to windows

try F8, that's usually safe mode. press it like once a second as it's booting.

what's your specific problem-- cant boot windows?

can you try putting a windows install disk in and choosing "repair" when it boots? (you want to make sure you dont format your drive though, repair wont do that usually if youre careful)

If you really can't access the recovery section and you really want to format your PC, then put on the Vista CD and reboot. Boot using the Vista CD and paritition or format your hard drive then install the O.S. etc.
