Garmin Nuvi GPS Stopped working

Mine wasn't turning on either. Thanks for posting about the reset button. I didn't even notice it. Now it works again! Yay!

Same here. I have a Nuvi 350 and had to press reset for it to work again. Strange.

Whitch serie of garmin nuvi do you have?

Hey everyone I might have the solution:

Just got done "fixing" mine, turns out it didn't need any fixing whatsoever, just an update.

I had the same problem most of you seem to have:

Device: StreetPilot C340 worked great when I bought it and for months until one day, it just doesn't turn on...wtf right?

I was halfway done with tech support for an RMA request, (some of you might still need this) and that's when I noticed the usb input on the side of the device (like most of you I thought, why the hell does it even have one?) I plugged my universal camera usb cord into the pc, (At this point the device was on! and charging too!) and went to the garmin website, feel free to search but you will end up with this page:

pretty straight forward after this, follow the step by step depending on whether you have a mac or pc, download and run the "webupdater" mine was for windows, so I ran this all the way through and bam your good to go, you even have the option of updating the voice and language preference after the initial updates.

My Nuvi 205 was working fine and then turned off and would not turn back on

garmin baught 25/10/08 & has old maps

After last time when it shut off and the reset didn't work, I went to Garmin website and actually hooked my street pilot to the computer which did show it was getting power. There was alot of updates for my garmin and one of the updates seemed to say it would help the shutting off problem. After that it worked again.
FYI the reset button is under the thin face plate on the street pilot.

i have a garmin c330 and it powered on today for about 10 secs then went off, I have it plugged into the lighter and the fuses are good - why won't it come back on and where is the reset button if this will work?

this unit is only 2 years old or so.

My Nuvi 350 was working fine and then turned off and would not turn back on. I simply hit the reset button on the back of the unit and it is working fine again.
