Hi, I have an Acer AC512 monitor, when ever i turn on the monitor, the power led starts to blink, but the monitor will not turn on, neither the no signal message appear on screen when i unplug the display. Please guide me how to open and trouble shoot this issue. thanks in advance.

LOOKS LIKE A BURN SOLDER !! , open the monitor , check the PC BOARD around the transformer area , look for burn spot or cold solder , RE solder it , try again , hope this helps please rate solution and thanks AJ

This problem is most likely to be caused by a bent or broken pin on the CRT video cable at the VGA connector, OR, this could also be caused by a damaged VGA connector on the back of the laptop. If neither VGA connector is at fault, the problem could be caused a damaged (kinked) CRT data cable, or internal damage to the VGA connector on the back of the laptop, though I suspect the problem is more likely to be external, and you probably won't have to disassemble the laptop to locate the culprit...

It's because I accidentally plug the cable to the built-in graphics card port. Now I connected it to the right one and my monitor is working great!

i spotted a few dry solders, so i just resoldered them,.. and now it is working.
but now, when i connect it to pc or lap, it'll display, if cable is not connected, then the "no signal" popup diloge will not appear.
