A phone call might not be needed, first which browser are you using and have you tried to clear the stored user information for your browser? It sound like it is keeping the old out of date information even after changing the password.

click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type each adress on its own line (type in facebook.com) or your preferred browser

maybe the reason you can login is because you forgot your password.You can request a password reset by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link located near the "Login" button on the log in page. We will then send you an email with a link to reset your password.
