dishwasher went completely dead, no lights, no nothing during cycle. Checked outlet and breaker, all good. Even tried an extension cord to a known good outlet, still nothing. Will check wire nuts at junction box tonight.
    Any thoughts?

Yeah, we have no lights, no power I guess. Breaker and GFIs seem ok. We did smell a burning smell about 2 days ago when the dw was running, but had no problem with that cycle and have run it once since I think. No problems with the cycle, but then today....nothing! Can't start a cycle because the lights won't come on.

Same problem and I've already checked the wire nut connection to the power supply line and its ok. I have 14.5 volts to the selection buttons panel and digital display panel, but neither will function.

    1. How can I tell if the problem is the door switch or the one of the boards?

    2. If its not the switch how do I tell which board is out.

    3. Is there a more likely solution than the ones I have suggested?

Dishwasher runs too long

Good Morning Tessa,

I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB700BFC, is running too long. I also see that it seems to be getting stuck on one particular cycle and runs continuously for hours even though the water is hot. It sounds like there is possibly a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. I please ask that you try resetting your dishwasher, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Once power is restored, try running any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

The dishwasher will not turn on. I've already checked my breaker box, and nothing seems to be wrong there with the dishwasher. It worked a few days ago, but now all of a suddden seems to have died.

I would first take a look inside the junction box were the power cord connects to the dishwasher. The junction box is located at the bottom of the dishwasher and can be access by removed the toe plate.
I have seen were one of the wire nuts that connect the power cord will come loose or burn off.
If the power cord is connected ok then I would check the thermo fuse with a ohm meter to see if it's blown.

Dishwasher doesn't seem to be getting power. Breaker looks good

first check the power connection behind the toe-kick pane, then theres a fuse in the control panel to protect the electronics which can open and kill power to the unit

GE Dishwasher Quiet Power III Dishwasher leaking

The average life of dishwashers is 7-10 ten years so it might just be dying but try this. If the leak is a small one that seems to always be near the left side of the dishwasher put a cup of white vinager in the upper rack and run the unit on pots & pans or heavy duty. This is caused by a build up of detergent that make the unit oversuds, when the suds turn back into water it leaks out the left front corner. The amount of water is not huge, one towel to clean up. If the leak is larger it could be the pump is leaking and you can order a new one with your model # from

Seems to have no power but plug has power

Hello- First find power box under unit. Unplug power, open cover and inspect connections. If there is a problem- loose or bad connection-  repair and see if it will run. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. Thanks -Ed
