Program timer

The program timer in my tv-vcr mod# pv-c2021 ser# a1ac25638 is on continously and ( I think ) keeps turning the cable signal off.
I lose signal, wait a while,the tv will turn itself off, then some times when I turn it back on it will be fine, some times not.
I don't have the origional remote and have no idea how to tunr the timer off.

I have the same problem.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
