To edit a Phone Book entry that has already been entered, you have several options:
1. Call GreatCall Customer Service for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-733-6632. 2. Create an account at mygreatcall.com and modify your Phone Book online. 3. Manually modify the entry on your phone. To manually edit an entry, it depends somewhat on what model phone you have. To save space, I will assume you have the newest model, the Jitterbug J. If not, I recommend you call our Customer Service for further assistance. From the Phone Book, press the up arrow and you will see the option EDIT PHONE BOOK. Press YES to select. Select the option "Modify" to edit an existing contact. You will then scroll through your phonebook until you find the entry you would like to edit. Press YES to modify that entry. It will then give you the option to edit both the name and the phone number. Select YES once you are done making your changes at each screen until you see the message "Successfully Modified" at which point you are done!
Hi. Not sure if this will help but on my Panasonic cordless phone (different model to yours), there's a button labeled "mute/clear" which is used to clear text when entering text for phone entries. Well, if you scroll through you phone book to the the entry you want to delete and then rather than pressing "Edit", press "clear" and, if it's like mine, it will ask you if you want to erase the entry, and you press "yes". Hope it works for you.
Maybe you need to program the phone . Here I'll tell you how :
Press the Down main navigation button and press Menu/OK. The
main navigation button is in the center of the keypad and is cylindrical
in shape.
Press either the Up or Down main navigation button until "New
Entry" appears on the display.
Press the Menu/OK button and "Enter Name" will appear on the
display.
Enter the name using the keypad. Enter the names the same way
you would enter text in a text message on a mobile phone. For example,
to enter the character "H," press the 4 digit twice. Use the labeling on
the buttons to guide you.
Press the Menu/OK button after entering the name and "Enter
Number" will appear on the display. Enter the phone number using the
keypad.
Press the Up or Down navigation button to select "Save" or
"Go Back" and then press Menu/OK. The entry is now programmed. Press the
goodbye button; it's the button with the phone icon on a cradle.
Press the Down navigation button and the first alphabetical
number is displayed. If you keep holding the button, the phone will
scroll through your phone book alphabetically.
Press the button with the phone icon on it (not the goodbye
button) to dial the number associated with the phone book entry.
If you add birthdays for the entries in phone book, you get to see those in the nearby in the front screen.
For this, goto an address book entry, edit and then enter the birthday. thats it. When that birthday falls within next one month, it will be displayed as reminder on the front screen.
Hi, I found a way to get Speed Dial on the Eternity or Ultra Touch . As follows: [most of this from Phonebook/More/Settings/1 ]
1. Copy all address book entries from Sim to Phone Memory. 2. Delete all Sim Address book entries. 3. Switch Address book source to Sim. 3. Re-enter up to 99 speed dial entries in Sim, in the exact order you want them to be assigned to speed dial. 4. Switch Address book source back to Phone Memory.
From now on all numbers on the Sim will be in Speed Dial and you will view the address book from phone memory. Of course any number can be in both places.
Now to speed dial just enter 1#, 2# etc for any number in the Sim Address book. You will get to view and confirm the entry and then dial. In a way this is even better then the speed dial functions on older Samsungs, as the preview before dialing ensures you have the right speed dial entry.
I think it works fine. dk
You already know how to program speed-dial entries, right?
1. Assign a speed-dial entry to each fax number that you want in the group
2. On the device control panel, press MENU
3. Use the < or the > button to select Fax setup, and then press ENTER
4. Press ENTER to select Phone Book
5. Use the < or the > button to select Group setup, and then press ENTER
6. Use the < or the > button to select Add/Edit group, and then press ENTER
7. Use the alphanumeric buttons to enter the number that you want to associate with this group, and then press ENTER. Selecting 1 through 5 also associates the group with the corresponding one-touch key
8. Use the alphanumeric buttons to enter a name for the group, and then press ENTER
9. Complete one of the following steps:
a) Press a one-touch key, and then press ENTER again to confirm the addition. Repeat this step for each group member you want to add
-- -- -- -- -- OR -- -- -- -- --
b) Select Phone Book, and then select the speed-dial entry for the group member you want to add. Press ENTER to confirm the addition. Repeat this step for each group member you want to add
10. When you are finished, press ENTER
11. If you have more group-dial entries to assign, press ENTER, and then repeat steps 1 through 10.
