A hashtag is a symbol on your keyboard (usually above the number three on the upper row of keys). It's sometimes referred to as the pound symbol. I imagine you're thinking of how it's used in Twitter. More info is available here. it all geek to me
"The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages."
Maybe you have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit key 4 to get the rupee. Or it might be Press and Hold the ALT or CTRL key then hit key 4 to get it.
The key to know which key to Press and Hold is notice the color of the rupee symbol on key 4, then Press and Hold either the FN function key, Alt key or Ctrl that is the same color as the rupee.
