Look for color green knob and roll it to push out the stuck paper in the middle.

Hi, i have a Brother MFC 7620N and 8 time out of 10 when i'm printing the paper get stuck and then i get this error obviously. My problem is that the paper always get stuck,do you know any idea...

Hi!
It is due to the paper pick-up roller. When the rollers get dirty or worn-out, the printer fails to pick the paper, which results in paper jam. So, remove the paper tray and toner cartridge and locate the paper pick up roller in the middle. Clean it with luke-water and lint-free cloth. I hope this would fix the issue

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

We change the spoiler on it and still get paper jam. it run the paper and wrinkle it like an accordeon

This concertina of the paper is very common on this and other brother models that use this engine. It happens because the final set of rollers (eject rollers) are not gripping the paper to pull it out of the fuser. Remove the rear door, now remove the black inner cover being carefull not to damage the long sensor arm in it.Now remove the light grey chute (held in by two large silver screws, the right one has a spring in it). You can now get to the eject roller. Carefully bend the roller in the middle so it effectively becomes shorter and it will come out with its white bushes at each end. the gear is at the right end. The four rubber rollers should be made rougher with some fine wet and dry paper about a 1200 grade will do. Now put the lot back together and the problem will go away untill they become shiny again in the future.

Says paper jam no paper in machine

HI,I had the same problem today. I ended up taking a piece of paper and from the back side started lightly forcing the paper in the back slot. I had the top cover open where you replace the ink cartridges. Towards the back you can see the paper start coming into the printer next to some rollers. On mine there was a small black switch about an inch from the right in the middle of the plastic piece above the rollers. Once I started pushing this paper in I could see this switch was stuck in the down position. After several minutes of pushing the paper in and out the switch moved up and out of the paper path. I then pulled out the paper and hit the ok button and it came on line. This may work better with a piece of card stock.
That switch is the issue. I ended up finding an object lodged against the switch. Needed a flashlight, plastic giftcard and a tweezers to get it out. Works great now.

Also, open the printer where the paper for printing is put in.
At the back left hand side there is a white long piece and either side a white piece with a small square on it.
Use a longingish screwdriver and push this gently down. It will click back into place quite easily.
Note: this tops the paper from feeding in and needs reseting after a jam.You will know all is OK when a sheet of ordinary paper is put in > touches the feed roller above the white bits, and is level across the paper feed area.

Hope it helps,,

Thanks for using fixya.....

Asked me a paper was jam

Hi,
You didnt wrote where it is the paper jam.
Here are few common jams:
  1. if the paper jams in fuser unit, do/check next:clean the paper delivery rollers ( when you open left door its two roller on axis beneath the drum ), check the sensor flapper beneath the drum unit if its worn out you need to replace it, does the paper comes out like bent in the roll? open fresh pack of the paper and try again it could be moisture fault.
  2. the paper stucks in pickup section, clean the paper pickup, feed and separation roller, to do that remove paper drawer and you will be able to see the rollers on left inner side.Open the lower leftside door and check the paper senzor in the middle. You can apply some wd40 on spring of flapper or on left side bushing.
  3. dadf jam, check for any paper leftovers and clean the paper pickup and feed rollers
Hope that helps!

In my 3530 single side copying is ok but when i am trying for back to back my A3 paper is getting jam with z fold pls guide

Hi,
are you talking about ir 3530 b&w copier?

"Z FOLD" of jamed paper is usual when paper goes from cass. towards registration roller, and registration clutch doesnt operates.

Do you have problems with A4 double sided too?

Where does the jam occures? In wich section?

I had few cases, when the paper stucked above fixing unit in small inner door, wich guides paperout or back in duplex, for second side copying.
The problem was in spring and solenoid wich lifts the paper guide plastic with finger.

It also could be case that you need to replace paper pickup, feed and separation roller in cassete where is A3 paper, and clean other rollers.

Try to put paper in "good" cassete, from wich you do not have problems.Just swap papers, and set correct paper sizes, and if it works then the problem is 70% in rollers.

On the place where the paper stucks, clean the paper rollers, by rotating it and cleaning with alcohol or water and dry it verry well.

Hope that helped.

Canon MP220 printer. when i load the paper it starts to go to one side, a rustling sound then paper just gets stuck

I had same problem. Lift up Scanner section and check along white paper feed rollers with torch. I could see something between rollers and bottom roller bar. Lifted up that section of white roller with two small flat bladed screwdrivers. This revealed a " Sweet Rapper" jammed under rollers.Removed printer now ok.

Trouble with paper feed

Frequent jams are because either scanner picks up more than one paper or does not pickup at all. If scanner picks up more than one paper, then paper is sticky. If the paper is thin, it can pick up two at a time. Fan the papers so that they are not sticky.

Paper at the point of entry into the scanner must be crisp. If folded or 'dog-eared' trim it. Rotate the paper if any other side is crisp, roate the image later.

Clean all the rollers thoroughly, the pickup roller, retard roller and other rollers in the scanner. One can rotate the inner rollers and clean totally, not just waht is seeable area. If the rubber is worn out, it must be replaced. TRy a single page to check if the rubber is okay. Jarring noise is because the motor is 'stopped' and cant rotate because paper is stuck. This can affect motor/inner parts, but is designed for normal use.

Samsung ML-2510 paper feed problem - taking page up and in

I just finished fixing my ml-2510 with the identical problem. you can take the pick up rubber and its housing off without removing the shaft. after taking off the front panel and taking out the upper paper tray and the toner you have lots of room to get your hands in there (make sure it's unplugged before you start). two plastic side supports hold the rubber housing in. lift the tab on one and slide it to the side. the housing will now come out . take note of the positioning of all these parts before taking them apart. I sometimes use a digital camera for this purpose. the housing snaps apart and the rubber band slides off. I turned it inside out and put everything back together. works great now (for another year I hope). It's not difficult, it took me about 30 minutes, but be gentle with these plastic parts. I needed a small flat head screw driver and a good lamp. the easiest way is to stand the printer up on its back and reach down inside the hole with the lamp set up over top. good luck.hope this helps.
