I've tried asking this question before, with unsatisfactory results, so have decided to reword my question. The only way I've been able to delete these annoying sponsored messages from trash and spam folders is to delete all the contents of those folders in bulk.
If I click on these ads, I am directed to another link, and since there is no return address, I can't add these to my blocked addresses.
I've tried clicking and dragging these to the trash folder, and it only encourages these sponsored email-ads to rotate to another vendor.
Is my only solution switching to another email service?

Check your mouse configuration. Does it act normally on other programmes? As in using single click or doubleclick? Are you using yahoo main on the web or are you using it in Outlook Express and then opening your mail within that program? If using on the web there shouldn't be a problem if your mouse has correct config.
