Question about InFocus ScreenPlay 7205 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

White vertical lines in image w/ 2 inch black bar horizontal.

These thin white lines are vertical on image and are in proportion to each other. I tapped on the unit and the lines went away then came back shortly. There is also a 2 inch black bar horizontal through the image as well. Please help.

Re: White vertical lines in image w/ 2 inch black bar...

The black bar is from the light tunnel collapsing. the white lines are from the colorwheel or the main board has a cold solder joint. replace the tunnel and colorwheel and have the main board looked at.

Thin vertical line appears on projector

I have found that vertical lines that suddenly appear from projectors are due to poorly connected cables. Sut off your projector and wait for the fan to go off. Then unplug the connectors from the computer to the projector and secure them again, making sure to go all the way. Hope this helps.

White vertical line in the center of projected image

I have a Dell 2400MP projector that had the same problem of vertical white lines appearing over the screen.

This may seem like a simple solution, and I don't know if this will work for you, but the way I solved the problem was simply to press the bottom side of the projector, until the white lines disappear . Until now, the problem has yet to resurface.

Here's some simple steps:
1. Turn on projector
2. Connect projector to computer
3. Focus projector
4. If white vertical line appears, firmly press underside body of projector
5. See if vertical white line disappears
6. If not, try slowly pressing other parts of the body of the projector and see if white lines disappear.
7. If solution doesn't work, you may need to send it to the service center.

Hope this solution works for you.

Best Regards,
