Hello, Vickie -
Do you know the model of your House & Home Food Dehydrator?
Apparently the House & Home Model LD-1010 Food Dehydrator is the same as the Magic Chef Model LD-1010 Food Dehydrator. Also, I have seen information indicating the model LD-1010 is the same as (or very close to) model 469-1. Perhaps yours is a a model LD-1010
I have not yet found a PDF version (electronic, Adobe Acrobat Reader software) of an instruction manual for a House & Home food dehydrator or a Magic Chef food dehydrator, any model.
However, I have found directions (not the full manual) for using a Magic Chef food dehydrator here:
https://www.leaf.tv/articles/instructions-on-using-a-magic-chef-food-dehydrator/
I have found manuals for other similar food dehydrators (PDF documents), which may prove instructive:
http://pdf.lowes.com/operatingguides/1000317095_oper.pdf
and:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/107232/Mr-Coffee-Fd5.html
Note: I also found a 1997 U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission for a K-Tel Model LD-1010 food dehydrator:
https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/1997/cpsc-k-tel-international-usa-inc-announce-recall-to-replace-food-dehydrators
I have not been able to determine if the K-Tel product was manufactured by the same company which made the House & Home LD-1010 Food Dehydrator or the Magic Chef Model LD-1010 Food Dehydrator. However, I recommend you read the full recall notice and be watchful for any overheating when you use the dehydrator.
Note: If you eventually choose to dispose of the dehydrator, please do not toss it in the trash. Instead, make sure you send it to electronics recycling in your area.
Best wishes.
