Hi I have a Sony xav-62bt car radio when I got the car it didn't come with a remote so I just got a Sony rm-x170 remote and I can't put in the security code only the off button works and its brand new how do I get past the security code???please help

The yellow security code release notes say to press the buttons on the remote in the following order: seek-, seek+, MODE, OPEN/CLOSE
If that doesnt work I know a way you can hardwire it .. let me know.
In return could soemone possibly let me know what battery the remote takes please.
