CRT is expensive!!! Try to shuffle the electronic parts driving the CRT tubes first, it has three sets of parts, all are the same in each color: red, green, blue. Sometimes cleaning the leads or metal parts of the circuits, specially the green region, will gonna solve the problem. Do it first, it wont gonna cost you a dime, just time. [:0)

Have you tried shuffling the parts? First interchange the whole board connected to the tube by removing it from the tube socket.Shuffling the parts, or interchanging the parts from green circuits to the blue OR red circuits, will confirm if the trouble is the CRT or circuits. When I mean ONE BY ONE, it means one parts at a time, replace one identical parts and turn on the tv, you may try two or three parts to make it faster but you may only get confused. If these parts shuffling didnt make any difference.

The Green CRT has shorted and will need replacement. You can verify the problem by removing the Green CRT drive board from the green CRT dont unplug the wires just slide the board off and let it hang suspended then try powering up the set if it stays on without shutting down then you will no its the green CRT for sure. You can get a green CRT from

Sony kp-57ws500 flashes blue, green, red then turns off

Re-insering the flyback wire is usually very easy. Push in and give a slght turn and check to see if grabbed. It sounds as if there is more issues than flyback wire. TV should turn on without one crt connected

Do either the red or the green crts come up at all?? If not the heaters in the blue crt could be bad - loading down the HV and the shutdown circuit turns the set off.. Only repair for that is to replace the blue crt, but I would have it tested first.. In the shop here we use a B&K467 to test for shorts and emission leaks but that's old school.. B&K has since come out with far superior crt tester/rejuvenators..
