The Kenmore elite HE3t washer start button is not working neither is the cancel button. I started it for a few minutes and then hit pause to add a few more clothes and then it would not start

I HAVE A KNEMORE HE3T MODEL # 110.42924200 FRONT LOAD WASHER AND THE START BUTTON WILL NOT POP BACK OUT TO START THE WASHER. HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE AND WHAT PART DO I NEED TO PURCHASE TO FIX IT?

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
