Question about Native Instruments GUITAR RIG

1 Answer

Guitar rig Hey guys, I have a problem with "Guitar Rig". Now when I attempt to open it as a stand alone program it comes up with the message 'The instruction at "0x004bb048" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written. Intereestingly the program still works as a plugin within other programs. Any Ideas

Re: guitar rig

I've got an iMac and I've been trying to use my guitar rig with my new computer but the interfaces I tried so far ( Spike from Mackie and the US-122 from tascam ) they don't work at all even though they are supposed to work fine with my iMac.....which interface works the best on iMac so  I can use my guitar rig both stand alone or as a VST instrument?.......somebody there with some good suggestions?........thank you in advance

I have Charanga Guitar coach ver 2001. It used to

This is because of software compatiblity of the old version Charanga Guitar coach v 2001. with your Vista OS. Try to install the program as "Administrator" and run the program in the "compatiblity mode". If you can't install the program you have to get a newer version which is ciompatible to Vista.

Poping noise when play guitar rig 3

Get a power smoother on your equipment ... Trust me on that, It drove me nuts for a while until I found out that the boiler heater in my house was passing static through the power into my pc and making lovely little pops in my recordings.

Emedia guitar master not able to run after installation

Windows® Vista Error on launch:
“Director Player has stopped working” or “Macromedia Projector has stopped working” Most likely this problem is solved with the following steps:
  1. Click the “Start” menu and launch “Computer” from the right hand panel
  2. Navigate to the eMedia Guitar Master installation directory (typically this is inside your C: drive > “Program Files” folder)
  3. Navigate to the “Xtras” folder within your “eMedia Guitar Master” folder
  4. Delete the file called “SequenceXtra_1_9.x32”
Launch Guitar Master. It should open properly.
If the above solution fails to eliminate the problem, take the following additional steps:
  1. Click on the “Start” menu and navigate into the folder to the eMedia application.
  2. Right-click on the program icon and select “Properties.”
  3. In the box that pops up, select the “Compatibility” tab.
  4. Check the box “Disable visual themes.”
  5. If you can, check the box “Run this program as an administrator.”
  6. Click “Apply” and then click “OK.”
If you continue to experience problems with Vista, please make sure that your system is up to date. Download the latest updates for your operating system at Get the latest version of QuickTime at

Just get clean tone through NI Rig Kontrol 2

you need an asio driver for your rig kontrol.. you are probably set to use DirectX drivers, which will give you latency of 50ms and waaaayy beyond... By contrast, ASIO drivers will give you sub-10ms latency... Most people can play at around 7ms, but im picky, and no more than 5ms will do for me..

Go download the drivers from NI site, and try those.. if that doesnt work, there is ASIO4ALL... google and read.,. this will help ya

keep playin
