Power Problem My Dell 9300 just quit turning on even when plugged in. No power lights, no charge light, nothing. Is there an internal fuse that may have blown or another common cause?

try to check the ac adapter or charger if it still has a green light on it. if its good, then you might need to replace the main board on the computer as the ac port is integrated. there is no internal fuse for portable or laptop computer. if the ac adapter light on the brick it self is turned off then you just need to replace the charger it self and that should fix the problem.

A very common problem with dell laptop's are the "batterys" I suggest calling dell and order a new battery for your labtop.

It may be that your psu "power supply unit" may be bad as well.

I hope this solves your problem

PLEASE HELP!! I am going on a business trip tomorrow and ALL of my requisite files are on my Dell Latitude D610 that won't power on. PROBLEM: once I removed it from my docking station at work, it won't...

When you say you "tried turning it on with the battery removed", did you leave it plugged into the wall with the charging adapter at the time? Please clarify that you tried to use it while plugged in without the battery and it would not power up? When you plugged it in without the battery, was the green charging light on? Or did you get no power light at all?

With your battery in, try using a different outlet to plug into. Plug it into another outlet and when the green charging light comes on press and hold your power button on your keyboard and do not release it for 30 to 45 seconds. Tell me if this boots up the pc even if just for a moment?

There are three lights on your keyboard that should come on when the laptop is plugged in and turned on. One is the power light, the other is the battery charging light and the last one is the hard drive indicator that looks like a round cylinder on the picture. Tell me when you plug it into the outlet and the battery charge light is on, does the hard drive light come on and/or flicker when you try to power up the laptop? How many lights come on when you press and hold down the power button with the cord plugged into the wall?

LCD Monitor Blank/Non-Responsive - Dell E173FPC

Next thing I would check is the VGA cable between PC and monitor.

Make sure is in at both ends and if possible try another one.

Do the Dell Menus come up with no VGA cable plugged in? Is the light amber? Flashing or static?

My dell laptop is not turning on with the ac or battery. The LED lights up for a hot min then it turns off. Nothing happens after that. okay. well my dell laptop isnt turning on. the battery is tottally...

Possibley it could be some internal parts. Please try run the onboard diagnostics by holding down Fn and the power button. Make a note of the 3 lights above the keyboard (9,A and the lock key). If it starts for a second and then shut's down, the MoBo will ahve to be replaced. 1501 has known issue and I know this as I work for DELL tech support. Call tech support or chat with them...If the product is under warranty, you should get a replacement.

Pardon my spelling mistakes!!! Let me know if the information was useful or not.

Dell E197FP LCD Monitor won't turn on completely dead

could be dead, but check to ensure that you are using the monitor ONLY, not TV tuner device. as a standalone, not hooked to cpu if there is no power light when plugged in assume your buying a new monitor.

Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter. With the AC adapter unplugged from the system, plug it into the wall, see if the power LED comes on. If it does, plug it into the system and see if it goes out. If the LED never comes on, or goes out when connected to the system, replace the AC adapter.

If the LED stays one, see if the system will power on and give any indications of power at all (Flashing Caps Lock, Scrool Lock, Num Lock LEDs) If no power indication with a good ac adapter connected, then the motherboard is the next item to replace.

Either item listed above can prevent the battery from charging. So the battery is the last item I'd replace unless the system turns on with the battery out of the system.
