Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

2 Answers

Pictures Hey guys - I've taken some pics with my Razr and it looks like anything over approximately 23KB won't open and gives me the message "Too Large to open". I'm obviously able to take the pics but if I try to view it or send them in a message it craps out. I never had a problem with my previous "obsolete" Razr but since getting this new improved one from ATT/Cingular......... I'm confused why the file sizes vary so much. 2 almost identical pictures measure 75 and 58.4KB's respectively and vary from 8.06 to 75KB's. Any ideas?

Can you send pictures to the internet via pictures taken on the motorola razr v3x phone and how do you do it? Also, how do you record a conversation on this phone and how do you send it?

Download Mobtime Cell Phone Manager from It will download the pictures to your computer and you can do whatever you want with them from there. You don't need to pay for the registration to download pic. I paid for the upgrade and it didn't work anyway, but the free part works well.

I can text , and recieve texts , but cannot send pic texts or forward pic texts ?? but can recieve them

Make sure you are following all the steps, because picture message looks the same as text but has one extra menu for adding the image itself. Watch the steps at under Electronics->Cellphones category click on Motorola RAZR video. Chapter 14, called "Send pictures to your friends"

Storing text messages

This is because the Razr stores texts and emails dynamically according to message size and physical memory available. To balance it out, you would have to delete some outbox messages to store more inbox messages and vice versa. The amount of pictures, ringtones, incoming/outgoing calls, emails, texts, and videos all are drawn off the physical memory of the Razr. The device does not have dedicated application memory so everything is taken off the small amount of memory you are given. Newer Razr's such as the V3m for Sprint offer Memory Cards to supplement additional memory. Your device is equipped with a microSD card slot and you can save your music, pictures, and videos to the card and leave the additional phone memory to texts and application memory. You may not be able to save that much more if you move the pictures and music, but you can save more than if you didnt have a memory card. When reaching the maximum limit of memory the phone will tell you that you need to delete some files before continuing to do anything on the phone.

Receiving a photo

Just a few questions before I attempt to answer...

How are you receiving this pic? Via Text message or Bluetooth?

was this picture downloaded from the net or taken with the phone?

Sorry for the third degree, but I'd like to get some understanding of what you're going through before I attempt to give you an answer...

Motorola V3 Razr Sending/Receiving pics in text messages

ATT should have looked to see if the internet service is turned off for that particular phone. If thats the case, you shall not send receive pictures. Thats the only the reason you should not be able to send receive pictures.

Call ATT again and ask them that. Sorry to say you might have got the high school dropout rehab person that day.
