If the only speed that works is HIGH, then you need to replace the blower fan resistor block, as mentioned by the first two respondents. If it runs on HIGH, regardless of speed setting, then either the HIGH fan relay is stuck closed [replace it] or the fan switch on the dash has shorted out and needs replacement.

Sorry Steve it is the resistor but it's located behind the glove box in the heater housing.

If it only goes on high, the resistor needs to be changed . It is on firewall ,passenger side of car under wiper assembly behind alternator. not a hard job to do, part is not expensive. you will get low,med , and high back. if not switch on dash panel, or change blower motor, last ,since it is going on- working. good luck

What does it mean when your heater /ac keeps running after the car is shut off

The most likely problem is the blower motor resistor/module is stuck on high speed. The high speed relay is fed power all the time. If it sticks the blower will run even with the key turned off. The typical fix is to replace the module. It can be found under the passenger side of the dash near the blower motor.

How do I fix the blower fan in my Ford F-150? It's STUCK on HIGH!

the problem is not the fan (blower motor) , it is the resistor in the blower motor hosing under the hood...
open the hood and look over by the passangers side firewall to locate the blower plenum (housing).
There is a plug that has 4 wires and it is plugged dirrectly to the housing.behind that is the resistor configuration that runs the fan at the different speeds ( more resistance = slower fan speed).
It is this part you need to replace.

AC is stuck on high on my nissan titan 2006. I have heard it may be the resistor or the control panel

The blower resister is near the blower motor, mounted on the outside of the blower box,but actually goes inside the blower box. It~s function actually is to give the blower motor lower speeds. If it is only working on high, then this is the problem. If it works on high when you select a lower speed, then there is a high blower motor relay that is stuck in the closed position .Replace the relay.
