Donwgrade to xp

Does windows vista boot up ok when you start computer ? if so , when you boot from the xp cd it should detect the Hard Drive, when u boot from cd on start up it should say boot from cd , press any key , if thats not comming up at all , then u need to change the bios setting's again , to boot from cd 1st and second HDD , make sure you press f10 to save bios changed setting's ,

put in the xp disk and boot from the cd (restart the laptop)

if it does not pick up the cd rom on boot you need to enter the
bios settings and make the first boot device the cd drive

then follow the on screen instructions

if you are running a laptop with vista preloaded make sure you find all the drivers that apply to xp and you laptop. without these drivers sound, video, etc. will not work. you have to find these drivers individually, usually come from the laptop website. If not it is very hard to find them but it can be done.
