SOURCE: Cursor

Hi, You may want to verify that the autoswitchoff (Allow the computer to turn off this device...) is disabled or grayed out; right click on my computer, click on Properties, click on the Hardware tab, click on the Device Manager button, expand your Mice and other pointing devices, right click on your mouse, click on Properties, click on the Power Management tab. You can also try updating the drivers. You can also do this on the USB Root Hub if your mouse is USB connected. Hope this works for you and post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: computer displays black screen with blinking cursor

Its seems its not booting correctly. Just Insert Windows CD and fix the windows. Another solution is to press (I think) F1 or F11 or F12 (depending on the model) when booting the machine. It will take you to recovery mode. Use it to restore the boot section ONLY.

SOURCE: black screen, blinking cursor in top left hand corner

Could be a number of issues, incl unseated processor or a faulty hard drive. First off I would remove mains & battery, remove covers from underneath and reseat any memory or processors you can find - by reseat I mean just take out and put back.If this fails, I would look to price up a new hard drive before condemning the machine.

SOURCE: Cursor stuck in the middle of screen vista operating system

What are you using? a laptop or a PC?

If you are using a PC then check that the mouse is connected properly to the slot. Also check the ball inside the mouse, it happens sometimes when its dirty, clean the ball inside the mouse and also inside the mouse(use a small cloth).

If you mouse is wireless then check the battery in your mouse. It might run out of charge. Also check the button which is used to turn on the mouse. It might be jammed.

If its a touchpad there is no solution that I can think of other than buying a mouse.

Asus tablet, Windows 8, forgot password and won't let me reset no matter how many incorrect passwords I put in.

the whole purpose of the PW is so others can't read your private data.

So why would guessing it ever be good.?
What screen fails. THE W8 WINDOWS login?
yes/no.?
yes, then do all users on that screen fail to login
is the login local or windows Live login.

live login is easy to reset at ms.com
MS page to do that is outlook.com (using 2nd PC that works)
next time write it down, say in book only you know using postitnote. (memorize only the page #)
end the drama forever.

I have a ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard. When I went into the BIOS, the only thing I see is the clock in the upper left hand corner. If I move the cursor the screen will ,one very big pixel at a time,...

I would definitely update the BIOS on your ASUS PC from the Windows Operating System.

Perhaps updating the BIOS will fix your current issues on the currently-installed BIOS.

You can find the BIOS updates on this site:

Unable to print screen on my laptop

To print screen the display on your screen, hold down the Alt key and the press the PrtSc key, then release both keys. Now open MS Word and click on Edit - Paste. The print screen image will then paste on to the page. To make the image larger, left click on the right hand corner of the image and drag the cursor to the rigt and down to size the image to your requirements. Then you can print this document and save it if you need to.

Hi - my computer automatically shut down while I was online and kept telling me that the hard drive was at capacity.... - it wouldn't even let me control the volume without it saying something was wrong. ...

The hard drive has picked up a virus and corrupted window or the hard drive is defective, if you have the proper recovery disc give it a try, if it works you will have a fresh install of windows and you will know the hard drive is good.
