As out going faxes, clean with alchol the CIS (Contact Image Scannser) it will be a small glass about 1/2" by 9". It will be located in the path of the document feeder, where you place the orginal documents. As for incoming check the drum cart, pull it out and look at the drum mite be your drum cleaning system (Blade/Roller) Some machine allow the drum to seperate from the toner cart check that also. Also if the incoming faxes are from the same phone/fax number that fax mite be dirty on their CIS :)

Nope No mirror, try cleaning the drum corona wire. Gently clean wire with a #2 pecil eraser to remove any dirt, then open fax sheet feeder and GENTLY clean with alcohol wipe across the light bar scanner. Paper dust builds up on this.
