I have the same problem and found that problem is becasue of the resistors which needs to be replaced. This will cost me $300 to fix.

Having issues with the convergence on a 56" TV. I just had my brother-in-law replace the convergence ICs, but am not certain as to where the feed resistors are located, to replace them. The ICs did not resolve the issue, so I am hoping the replacement of the resistors will. The ICs were removed from a Pioneer television (PNs were checked to assure appropriate parts were installed.) The Pioneer did not have issues with convergence. What are the Resistor numbers, if available, from the schematic, and about where, on the system board, are they located? Thanks

I had the same problem that required a $400 technician fix. 1st time i tracked it to a $0.05 resistor blown. could not find in radio shack... was due to bad "brain".

My jvc model# av-65wp74 the screen is bowed and the colors will not match up.i have put in two new convergence chips still no luck.

did you check the low ohm resistors. A JVC will almost always blow at least one and if the ICs are replaced without replacing the resistors the new ICs will fail instantly

Blue lines arc down from the top of the screen on JVC IART TV model number AV-65WP74. Is it worth fixing? Thanks

Yes it is worth fixing . You can fix it yourself for about $ 21 . You need to replace the convergence I.C. chips , The part # is STK392-310 . you need two of them . You can get them from bluestar-online.com . They are about 6 bucks a piece and about 10 for shipping .

JVC AV-65WP74

Hi, sounds like your convergence IC`s have failed if one of the colors doesn`t adjust either up/down
or left/right. If you have soldering equipment and are very proficient at soldering you can replace them. if not you definitely need to call a tv tech, if you need more info ask away, video-tek
