Clean brothers mfc240 print head

every brother has the ability to clean head, open control panel, open add printers, check your brother properties and click clean heads.
you also should have keypad access on brother to clean heads.
suggest you read the manual for proper code sine most Brothers have different codes.

then you try to print some text or image use yellow ink only..
but if it doesn't changed. try to reinstall the driver.

Hello.
Brother printers have very fine tubes running from the cartridges to the actual print head itself. Using it for the first time you may need to run the head cleaning process up to 3 times to get the ink primed to the head correctly.
If it still does not work i would say that it is a mechanical failure and recommended taking it back to where you purchased it from for a replacement.

Go into the printer properties and access print head clean. this should fix it assuming the ink tanks have ink in them!!

try to run the cleaning on the machine 5-6 times, if this does not fix it the print head is really clogged and would need to be removed and cleaned manually by a tech. to clean press the ink button then ok twice and print the test page after it comes out it will prompt you for the cleaning, just keep going through this 5-6 times and see if it improves.

The one for the other brother will work just fine.All brother mfc's use the same USB cable

Did you do a firmware update? If not go to brother homepage , download the update tool and do the update if it is avaiable.

Do you print with generic ink? If yes this prob is because of different color depth. Try to print with the original innobella ones or do some resettings within the printers properties when you print a pic from pc.

You may test the print out by printing directly from a picture card without pc.

Common error of brother mfc/dcp printers.
Unfurtunately there is nothing what you can do.

Call brother hotline ask for service/guarantee repair.
