I have a Minolta Dynax 600si Classic.

This camera has been in storage, packed in a camera bag with the battry removed and a sachet of silca crystals to keep out any damp.

That was three years ago. I recently unpacked this camera and inserted the battery. (the same battery that I took out of the camera before storage).

I switched on the camera but nothing happened. The LCD display remaind blank and none of the cameras functions worked.

I removed the battery and testec it with a multimeter and the voltage reading was 5.665 volts which is just under the 6 volts of a new battery.

Any idea why thee camera won't work after being in storage? Or should I just go out and buy a new battery?
