I found that there is a little wheel in the dvd rom drive that opens and closes the door, somehow the wheel on my xbox had become slanted which made it spin at an angle, when at the wrong angle it would get jammed and the door wouldn't open or close all the way, i think that i need to get the door off to see if the wheel is loose or something but i can't figure out how to get the door off, anyone know?

There may be a hole but it will be under the lip of the door, kind of impossible to get to. You may have to remove the drive from the emachine and unscrew it and open it manually with a small screwdriver. I regularly buy and repair or use parts from used samsung drives which is what emachines uses almost exclusively. The only upside to this is that once open, you can swap the faceplates and doors onto newer drives. If the led light is not in the middle then you can swap out the little plug in circuit too.
