Why am I being told that BBC2 is an "invalid DVB channel" All other channel are Woking normally

All "Youview" channels are working normally. I have tried reset on the Menu button with the same result Our grandson whose hobby is fiddling with the remote controls has just visited and I suspect that he is responsible for the fault

SOURCE: Panasonic remote and volume/channel buttons do not work

My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh

SOURCE: Panasonic Plasma no sound, can't change channel

Yes the control board would definitely be the offender here. But a word of caution. Oftenj when this board goes 2 other boards are also compromised and not always obvious at the time people think they can just swap the board out.
It went for a reason, not just old age. So it is better and cheaper in the long run to get a professional to check it out.

Also from a safety aspect, this is the High Tension area of the TV. Also be aware that radiation of the X type is in abundance at the rear of the tube. The TV must be grounded when opening ( but my advice is dont!) Let the professional do it

If you cannot find the remote control at all, you will need to reprogram the EPROM IC. This IC is inside the tv, with numbers starting or in between 24c02.... Please contact any qualified tehnican for further help. The IC i mentioned is programmed and at present it is locked through Hotel Mode. Also try to look RESET switch, to reset the whole unit. Thanks

On my Techwood it as built in freeview but every other channel is right except bbc1 and bbc2 both channels say bbc wales,How do i get them back to bbc1 and bbc2 please PLEASE HELP.THANK YOU.

What you need to do is retune the TV, but when it is finished look at the regional settings. Or if the regional option is available before retuning, retune selecting your area so then you get normal BBC channels. It's likely that at the moment the channels for BBC are located at the very top end of the channel list say? - channel 800+.

You are clearly picking up signals from many transmitters. With regional settings you can change it to the area you live in.
But you will have to take into account how good your aerial is. Otherwise the signal quality will not be good on same transmitters. So the set may only suggest those with the best quality signals.
ITV stations might also change.
When done it will move the channels you mention to the top end of the guide, to 800+.

Note many HD channels have no regional options. For example here in Yorkshire we only get ITV Granada and not Yorkshire TV on the HD channel for ITV1. And BBC1HD does not show any programmes when local news comes on.

dear,
in tv a device used called Hyperband, means
Hyperband
In the service channel network, the frequency used for distributing TV stations (300 - 470 MHz). It is the range of choice for digital transmissions according to DVB-C.

sometimes, it happens that the hyperband installed in tv doesnt catch/recieve the frequency of the channels. i think your case is like this..
you have to change it .. its not very costly..
there was a problem in my LG tv that i was not recieving the Discovery channel freq. then i had to replace this part. now i can see it..

How do I access bt sport using my remote ?

H
Please bear with me as I do a little explaining since I've just got it sorted myself ! BTSport is available to anyone with BT Broadband, however you cannot get it on a normal TV. I have a YouView box and with BT Infinity I can BTSport1, BTSport2 & ESPN on my YouView box (Channels 507, 608, 509) played through my TV. My TV however will not pick up the channels. Just says they are "scrambled".They also appear to be available on Sky (channels 413, 414, 417) and Virgin (channels 547, 548, 529).
I strongly suspect that the only way to see these channels without a YouView box, Sky, or Virgin is on line through your computer.
Hope this answers your enquiry.

Hi there , my YouView tv guide in not working, when pressing the button it access the guide but does not load the channels and it does not scroll . Is there anything i need to do to make it work again

Did you do the retune on Sept 3rd? If not, you need to do a Full Factory Reset tuning rather than just a rescan.

Rescan simply looks at the place holders where the old channels were stored and refreshes them. A Factory Reset (A.K.A. Shipping Condition) wipes the channel memories and starts again fresh.

The channels carring the EPG may have moved from where the YouView box is expecting them. Try the Factory Rescan

I am trying to get out of the shipping program

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

Freeeview update has not allowed BBC1, BBC2 Channel 7 and 8 to be viwed. They have been deleted from the menu on digital. I can get BBC1 and BBC2 on analog.

Make sure all cables are securely connected to your Freeview Box or Freeview TV before you begin

Do a Factory Reset of your Freeview TV and then do a rescan of new channels. If successfull then all channels should be back and working.

I am unable to retune my defina32"tv I have lost some of the channels I already had, please help BBC1 ok. BBC2 ok. ch3 invalid channel. ch4 invalid channel.ch5 invalid channel. The list goes on, some are...

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

Ferguson DV3 set-top box not finding BBC channels

I have solved the problem by selecting Manual Tune in the Menu. This means selecting each channel one at a time beginning at 21. The indicator shows the Signal Strength and Quality for each channel. If both show a green bar (strong on both counts) give it time to identify the new programs on each channel and add them. It will show how many found and added if you wait a few minutes. When each channel is done, move on to the next one. The last channel is 65 I believe but there is not much up the top end.
When I had finished going through this routine I found it had indeed added all channels I needed including BBC1 and BBC2

Echostar t101 fta digi box retuned and lost bbc1 bbc2 itv and channel 4 all to channels 801 and above any help and advice would be very kind

This is due to NIT in DVB-T transmission

Digital UK estimates that "only 1%" of Freeview receivers are susceptible to this change - technically, the introduction of a multi-part Network Information Table within the digital data.

The effects on some of those STBs and VCRs are plainly malfunctions, such as abnormal channel numbering e.g. Channels may be listed, but they're assigned to all the same number or assorted incorrect numbers. Alternatively, no pictures are seen, despite all channels having high ratings for signal strength.
