HS850 mic went out

I had been using the HS850 just fine. I didn't use it for about a month and then recharged it to use with my new phone. It synced just fine, the phone connected and I thought I was in good shape. Then, when I went to use it no one could hear me. I can hear just fine I just can't get the mic to work. Anyone know what I can do? Anyone else had this problem?

Re: HS850 mic went out

It's probably a fake. Google "Fake HS850" and you'll see that a malfunctioning mic is one of the tell-tale signs of it being a bootleg. Why do I know this? Same thing happened to mine...from Ebay...that's why. ;)

Re: HS850 mic went out

Call Motorola useing their 1-800number talk to a rep. and they may can help you. I purchased an HS850 from E-bay A year ago. The cushion split on the ear piece. I called to see if I could purchase a new one. they asked me if I had done a previous service with them and I tole them "No". They asked me to ship it to them and if I was will to pay for the shipping back and they would send me a "New Unit" back. They returned me a "New" Head set "in box" with-in 2 weeks.

Motorola HS850 Headset gone silent

I bought a new HS850 and guess what, I got this hearing problem on the very first day ...phew ! I did the pairing with my Motorola A1200 phone and it worked for once, even the sound was coming in the earpiece and then I put it to charge for the first time and once done, I again started it up and it got connected with the phone and after that there was no sound in the ear piece. I was going nuts....about what could be the problem.

So i decided to delete the earlier paired profile from my phone and do the pairing again and guess what...It Worked....:) So you can try that out too....

Blue tooth adapter and hs850 headset on my computer

Yes, you need the blue tooth driver. The one that comes with your blue tooth "toggle". Although my laptop said "blue tooth compatible" I still needed a toggle. They are fairly cheap to buy and go into a USB port.
