Make sure the driver you have downloaded is from here ... http://www.citizen-systems.com/sites/default/files/software/citizen_7.3.5.exe

This is the driver they recommend for your printer with windows 8x.

SOURCE: I am a Reseller and one of my client is having

I have used this type of printer before. Long ago when it was called the C-ITOH. However, never had to change the print head before. I would imagine that if you did - all the adjustments would need changing. Bad Gap would skip labels and bad pressure would make them too light or too dark. If there are any vertical lines (even faint) the print head is damaged. Also, these things are very specific as to media vs ink roller. You cannot use a paper ink roller with mylar labels. Vise versa works but those rolls are more expensive. I am sure you have tested this already but you point pretty exclusively to the "new" print head with your testing. Sounds like you have answered your own question. I would do some continuity tests on the head to see if it carries any current at all. Good Luck!

Citizen CLP-7201E-E Barcode Label Printer. Print gets misaligned on the labels and then will skip a label completely. How do we align it to print properly on the labels please?

Question edited for clarity.

First try a simple Power Reset. Turn it off for 5 minutes and then back on.

The Manual has procedures for Self Testing and Diagnostics, plus a Full Software Reset.

I have a Citizen CLP 621 printer. When I send a label to print, the printer reacts, a label comes out but nothing printed. If I change it to print 'negative' I have a black label ! Help please.

This might sound a bit daft and no disrespect intended - but, check to see what "colour" your print is set in the software application. It is possible you are trying to print "white on white" or "white on transparent" which would explain the all black print when printing the negative.

The labels are feeding, but remain not printed.

When you supply the paper to the machine put the correct size and media type

What else do I need to type labels on my citizen clp=621. Iv'e down loaded citizen driver 7.3.5.exe. I can not find the cd that came with the printer. I cannot find the file to type in the info I need. how...

What you need to do is purchase the label printing software for the printer. I do believe the CD that once came with the printer's packaging was just the printer drivers for the Windows 95-XP edition operating systems; and one had to buy the software program separately.

In any event, there is a company called Bar Codes Inc, that sold this discontinued product you own...their phone number is 1-800-351-9962. Perhaps they can help you

There's an online company called seagullscientific.com that sells software for this label printer too.

Here are the phone numbers to the printer's manufacturers/distributers:
United States of America (310) 781-1460
Germany: +49 (0) 711-3906 420
United Kingdom +44 (0) 20 8893 1900
Japan +81 (0) 42 468 4608

I have no personal or financial interest in any of these companies; just trying to help and pass on good info to you.

LABEL NOT PRINTING CLEARLY

On the right hand side of the print head is a blue thumb wheel. ensure this is set position 9, this will give you full width print. This adjustment is for setting narrow width labels.

When I try printing, the label sheet comes out without being printed then stops and the "condition/error" lights blink.

First you need to check the blink rate:
If fast this denotes a ribbon error - check ribbon is installed correctly.
If slow this denotes a label sense error - check the sensors are clean and are correctly aligned.
