It probably means the frequency is to high. Whether Windows, Macintosh, or Linux, you will need to lower your frequency. 60hz is the best for LCD, DLP, & Plasma. The resolution will be better set at 1024x768 as well.

Hi Genaro,

Sounds like an issue with the HDMI HDCP content protection. I do not think it will be possible to connect using a DVI to HDMI cable.

Projector NEC V260X cannot detect Mac iBook G4

Hi Helen,
Connecting projectors is normally pretty sytaightforward, but every once in a while things don't work as they should (or have in the past).
I've seen this same problem with all brands of projectors and it can be hair-tearing at times.
Try this - make sure everything is turned off - the turn on the Mac.
Wait until it is competely started (don't do anything else) then when you have your desktop and all your folders turn on the projector and wait. Any good?
If not do it the other way round. Turn the projector on first and then the Mac - I've had that work (but then again I've had the other way work!)
If neither work, make sure they are both switchedx on and then on the Mac go to the Displays control panel in system prefences and select the button that says 'Detect Displays'. I can't remember where it as I don't have a projector at the moment but it appears when there is more than one display connected. Sometimes that causes the system to work - it it dosn't show more than one displ;ay then there isn't a good connection between the mac and the projector.I've been reading just lately of some problems that some people have been having with various apple connectors to projectoras but I guessing that your G4 has a standard DVI connector - so you either connect diresly with the DVI-DVI cable or with a DVI-HDMI cable.
It would seem that those going DVI-HDMI are having the most problems.
Please post back and lets us know what happens.

Is there anyway that i can connect a nec vt695 to my tv

Connecting the nec to your tv, I think you mean you would like to get the TV's picture out from the NEC instead of the TV.

You need to connect your digital cable box or dvd player or vcr system, where the picture goes to the tv, to the projector instead to get it to display the tv picture.

Can't guarantee that it would work without knowing more about your equipment.

If that is not what you wanted to do then I do not know.

Hi, my NEC HT 1100 shows following problem. After starting, there are two horizontal black and white stripes moving from the top to the bottom of the screen. They stay for hours then they disappear. What`s...

Dried out capacitors that conduct electricity very poorly when cool will begin to work normally for a time when over heated, lenses and display components that are warped may also regain a workable shape when hot. It's very common for integrated circuits, etc. damaged by heat or electrical surge to show symptoms cool that don't manifest when the device gets hot. But they are indicators of an imminent failure.

Most likely the 3LCD component that generates the picture or the integrated electronics themselves have been damaged. This can happen over time from heat for example if the air filter doesn't get changed or from a power surge.

DVI Digital out of range

The incoming signal standard is not supported by the projector. If you are using a computer, set it to a common video standard

Picture problem

I have the EXACT same problem with my Sony SDM-P234 23" HD/computer monitor. I know it works (and it works great) with my DVico PCI card with my computer. It outputs in 480i, 480 p, 720p and 1080i with clarity on a simple indoor RCA HDTV antenna. I get the same quality (1080i) picture for the same three seconds as does lewy. I can also add that the digital coaxial output delivers 5.1 audio to my amp and it stays on even after the picture cuts out. Please help.....Comcast sendsa 'technician' out to service it and...well....did I say he's a 'technician'? He changed the box twice and says it must be my equipment. I guess its an act of God that it works with anything else.... I mean....its been checked out by a Comcast 'technician' after all.
