Condenser fan operation is sporadic

The compressor works fine and fan runs well outside. the condenser fan inside won't stay on in any mode. it comes on but then immediately kicks off. this cycle will repeat continuously. I checked the thermostat, it seems to be functioning correctly. any help would be greatly appreciated as I am operating on a very limited budgit (and l live in florida...it's summer & hot).

Check the fan relay. It sounds like it is weak and not staying latched. This could definitely cause your problem. Also, check the voltage to the relay to make sure it is correct.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

My nordyne E2EB-012HA wont blow cool air. Switched it to heat and it will blow out. Switch back to cool and it stops. Everything outside seems to be working fine. It just won't blow the cool air.

When you say everything is working fine outside is the compressor and condenser fan running?. When it is in the cooling mode is the indoor blower motor running?

Replaced control board in Hotpoint Model HSS25GFTA. front controls now operate and compressor is on and fan inside unit is working, but fan in bottom has not come on, how longwill it take before it does...

It should be easy to replace. However, Condenser fans are "usually" very robust fans. It should come on with the compressor unless the environment is below freezing (but not likely a feature). I would double check all electrical connections to and from compressor and Condensor fan. the outside bottom fan near the compressor. If it continues you may jeopardize the compressor. It is not made to run without the condenser cooling fan.

The condenser fan will not stay on

The condenser fan motor, on a standard a/c, is given power anytime the compressor comes on. If the compressor is still on when the fan motor goes off, the fan motor is failing or the run capacitor attached to it, usually by 2 brown wires, has failed. I can't see where you live,
(this is October), but if its below 70F outside when this happens its possible you have a temperature cycling control operating it and then that would become a normal function of the a/c. 3rd thing if its a heat pump that fan is operated by a circuit board and will have to be replaced by someone qualified to replace it. Good luck, hope this helps.

The furnace is running but there is no cool air. I change my filters every month and I flushed out the water lines last month.

flushing out water lines do you mean condensate line coming off the furnace that drain to the outside. is the condensing unit outside running when u have it in cooling mode. by condensing unit I mean the unit outside that has lines that run to the inside. does that turn on when u have it in cooling. the unit outside have two components that should turn on the outdoor condenser fan and a compressor.

Sometimes, when the inside blower shuts down, the outside compressor and fan motor continue to run for some time. Other times, when the inside fan motor is running, the outside fan and compressor motors...

The thermostat has a timer on the on- cycle (5 min delay for the outside unit and blower inside) if you are not gonna call a service guy then ( for $25) you can go to homedepot (whatever you got out there) and buy a honeywell vertical digital heat and ac t'stat.
this one doesnt require you to set it up for a particular application. this may solve your problem. but as for warm air out of the registers you need a service guy to check that

Why does my fan runs continus. and the condenser won't run out side.

The fan runs continously because your condensor is not kicking on and removing the heat. The thermostat needs to come under the set temp. to kick off the fan. If your compressor doesn't run and the fan on the outside unit does run, your compressor has an issue. If nothing runs outside, then your transformer on the inside unit(air handler) has an issue. This could also be a control relay on the condenser or the air handler.

Goodman compressor cuts off when temp too high

I believe you have 1 of 2 problems going on here your system may be overcharged causing the compressor to cut out on a overload relay circuit internally, or it also could be tripping out a high pressure switch which could be from an overcharged system or a dirty condenser. I would have the tech come out on a 90 degree day and put the gauges on and check the pressures while it is operating under a full load.

Hope this helps you.

AC breaker trips after 10 minutes

Whats the amp breaker? Is this for the inside unit or the outside condenser? If the inside and gas heat you have a bad fan motor, If its an electric furnace , the same, but if its the outside unit, the fan could be going bad, locking up and the compressor still runs and pulls high ampsand tripps breaker or the compressor is just pulling too many amps due to plugged coils with dirt , grass or weeds blocking airflow.([email protected])
