Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer
Greetings. Every time I try to install the software (whether from CD or website), the installation bombs. It gives an error number 1935x followed bya string of numbers. I've followed the Kodak trouble shooting and the Microsoft trouble shooting (Kodak redirected me in their trouble shooting to Microsoft for the fix) but am still not able to install the software. I've made certain our virus protection program is set to enable the installation and I've removed the programs that were listed in the site as those that may conflict with the installation.
Thanks for any help, tips, advice!
Make sure, if you have a pop up stopper, that you have it turned off. It will interfere with the installation. Once running, you will be very pleased with the printer.

I have a 1935 error problem with HP F4180 all in one printer as well as Avery Dennison's DesignPro on Windows XP w/ SP3 Home version.

I have Vista. After experiencing the same failure you did from both CD and Web, I did this and it worked:
- Right-click on the setup icon - not the name next to it but the actual icon in the directory list.
- Select "Run as administrator".
This worked. Yes, I had replied "yes" when asked for elevated permission during the first two attempts, but apparently there are times that it doesn't ask but does need adminstrative permissions to complete the install. The installation was decidedly unfriendly, but the printer works now.

Make sure you install the software with the usb cable to the printer unplugged. It will tell you to plug it in.
