Question about Canon PIXMA iP8500 InkJet Photo Printer
Printer will go through the motions of setting up when you first turn it ON , then it displays the message " No Print head ". It won`t print anything at all . The print is about 2 years old and I`m wondering if it just needs a new print head ?
Let me know ASAP !
First remove cartridges and remove print head and make sure the contacts on back of head look clean. I use fibreglass pen and give clean if in doubt. But be very carefull cleaning. But maybe not seated correctly.? If you pull the print head out and do another test does it come up with same message.?
Try again and see what you get. Still worth replacing head if faulty as where else can you get a 8 ink printer. Unsure what head costs.
