I had the same problem with the case not coming apart after I took the screws off, but thanks to someone posting a suggestion on this website, I was able to take it apart and take care of the problem. Use a soft mallet and use it around the seam of the radio until it pops loose.

By the way, my original problem with the radio was that it would not get any power at all, whether using the power cord, or an 18v battery. I was able to fix the problem by replacing the fuse located inside the case (250v / 1AMP)......works great now!! Many thanks to all of you who posted suggestions on this great website!!

SOURCE: radio works on ac power but not on batt power

"Radio works on ac power but not on batt power AA batt seams to be ok" The AA battery is only for the radio memory and clock. Have you put a battery from your drill in the radio? if so check fuse inside radio.

Power tv on and then it clicks and turns off

Most of the time there are one or more 5 amp pico fuses open on the power supply. The cause of them opening is the +/- 30 volt line shorting from the convergence circuit. If you take this repair on yourself and are familiar with a ohm meter, you can check the small green pico fuses in the power supply. Remove the power from the set, take the back off. The board in the center is the power supply and convergence circuit. In the center of the you will a transformer. Just to the left of the transformer you will small green fuses that look like resisters. They are marked on the board but are sometimes hard to see. If one is open for the 30 volt line, the convergence IC's need to be replaced. They are mounted on the back of the large heat sink and the board must be removed to replace them. When you remove the board, be sure to remove all the screws not only around the edges of the board but also in the center too. There are also screws on each end of the heat sink and on the blind side center foot securing a ground wire. On each side of the board there are plug clips that must be lifted. At the front of the board there are plug connectors that need to be unplugged. Once the board is removed the IC's are easy to replace. Remove them from the heat sink, Unsolder them from the board using solderwik. The Convergence IC's should be STK392-570. If there is only one, it is a STK393-110. When replacing them, I recommend using heat sink compound on the back of the IC's where they contact the heat sink. solder in the new IC's then attach the heat sink to them.
Replace the small pico fuse or fuses, they should be rated at 5 amps. Once all the parts are replaced, remount the board making sure the heat sink holes align with the board holes. Reconnect the plug connectors, Plug clips, and reinstall all the board screws.

I hope this helps,

Can't get top off kenmore washer model # 110 22852 100

No problem. What you want to do is this, remove the screws from the back panel first to remove that metal plate protecting the wires. Once off you need to take off the two covers on the sides of the control panel. There is one on each side, just pop them off. Once off you will see there is a screw under there holding the control panel in place. Remove the screws and that will lean back. Next take a flat head screw driver and put it under the lip of the lid on the front of the washer. I mean the lip that is about an inch down from the top on the front. Pry up and the whole lid will pop up. You will see the lid switch there held in by a screw, follow the wire to where it plugs in and unplug it and replace with the new one. Let me know if you have any other questions and if this was helpful to you. Always happy to help and good luck.

Dewalt DW911 jobsite radio

Got mine open.

There was a fuse inside - Replaceable - fixed the problem.

There were no hidden screws, none under stickers or in the battery box like suggested by others, and the 2 magic release screws not so. There are several deep screws requiring a long philips, but the entire seam is glued (why?) so to open the radio I had to hit the body near the seam with a rubber hammer to crack the seam loose once all the screws were removed, comes right apart. Put it back together without glue, just the screws, it will be fine.
