Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television

No color I just bought a 37" Magnavox LCD widescreen and after it was turned on for an hour or so, the color is gone. It has reverted back to black and white

Like cycus here has posted it could be tuner or a number of other possibilities like opto, logic board, digital board or various straps and connectors. This is one that you're best taking to a qualified shop to have dynamic tested. It will cost you less in headaches to do so..

This problems,very common in LCD tv,after the tv was in used about a year or two.The new technalogy LCD tv don't handle heat very well,not like the old CRT Tube Tvs.The power supply board tend to have bad capacitors componnents leakage,that bulges up it top or puff up gases escape,that why it take times or couples pushes to the power botton to turn the tv on.U know basic electronic's,and have soldering tools and solders?Take the tv aparts,check for these bad capacitors,that bulges,puff up in the power supply board and replaced them,than ur power will work normal again.Or tries Websites like, to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Picture has a red "haze"

the color in my tv is a little faded when theres dark scenes on cant really see picture. Red and Blue really fade into picture

Hazy, washed out picture on Magnavox 51mp6100d

Remove back see if you can get to tubes top lenses clean all 3 from dirt/dust/ After cleaning off lenses there is a black control box has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom these are to adjust each tube R-G-B Tubes screen/ focus adjust one tube at a time--- Like to adjust red turn g,b.screen drive off turn red up adjust focus to a clear picture ,then green same and blue If you turn screen up to much it will either shut off or you will see Drive lines adjust back down.OK after doing this turn color off in menu adjust all 3 screen controls untill you have Black and white picture try to adjust as close as you can to get bl/wt picture when that is done now turn color on and you should have alot better picture.
