Question about PC Desktops
Thought I would ask. Do you know why my DVD (only) player is very slow during playback?? Anyother media source plays fine on my computer, but as soon as I put a DVD in the drive and try to watch it, its extememly slow and choppy?
Playing DVD's requires a bit of constant transfer from the drive to the controller and from the controller to the RAM. First thing I would try is disabling background programs. One very likely culprit is if you have anti-virus software that is running a scan in the background.
Have you tried different DVD's? The problem could be the DVD drive is not reading the DVD properly. Have you tried different players? Different players sometimes work better. I would also suggest making sure that your sound drivers are up to date.
