Dyson dc25 will not stand up

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. Your cleaner is equipped with a safety device which shuts off the brushbar if something jams it. To check everything is correct with the machine and reset the brushbar, please follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

You may also find the video below useful - please note, the brushbar will never rotate when the cleaner is standing in the upright position, so please make sure you have it reclined into the vacuuming position when you test it.

The brushbar on your DC25 can be switched on for vacuuming carpets, or off for vacuuming hard floors.

To turn the brushbar on or off, use the silver button located to the motor on/off button. Information on how to operate DC25 is provided in the user guide supplied with your machine.
