Was doing laundry, machine just stopped. Full of water and clothes. Checked breaker, plugged in.... Will make power up music tone, but no lights on control panel. What to do?

The fact that the machine power up tone is audible indicates that the machine is receiving power which eliminates the fuse problem. I suspect that the main control PC board is faulty.

My LG washer stopped mid-load at spin cycle, how can I fix this?

It sounds like a serious fault if there is no power the fuse has gone or some item has burnt out . You will have to arrange for a service engineer to look at it more closely.

How do I restore power

Did you try advancing to a different cycle...like spin. The machine would normally have had to detect water weight to begin agitation. Or you could bucket bail or hose water into the tub to see if that would trigger a wash cycle. Lit/powered panel seems to indicate no fuse problem.

All lights up but not taking on water

not much to go on,
What went bang? something in the machine or just the fuse?
were you trying to dry? then that would be the heater coil. The fan blows air over a heater coil. You can see teh connections if you take the top off the machine, check the resistance to see if its gone. The cause is a blocked air filter upstream (its cleaned with water so you dont have to get the fluff off). Can you select a program at all?

Battery indicator is gone

Look into Control Panel and see whether there isn't a way to toggle this indicator back into the on position, such that it will show up on your Taskbar, to indicate the status of your power, battery or A/C.

Washer sounds like off balance during spin

old duets have nut on rear pulley that becomes loose. remove rear panel and tighten nut. check while spinning by hand if pop is felt. if it rotates smoothly then you may need new shocks on tub

try fuse on plug this may be gone, also the door interlock switch, try a light bang with fist near door catch see if this will do it, what i do suspect is the door inerlock is faulty, this is a safety device which locks the door when machine is in washig/spinning mode it aso stops machine working when you open the door, this is also a safety device, good luck al. xxxx

Both washer and dryer (MDG5500A) dead except for drum lights.

I am afraid there is no breaker or fuse inside the machines that will cause the control panels to go dead. You can check your power to the boards at L1 and neutral. If you have the proper voltage here but controls are dead, you will have to replace the control boards.
I notice in your problem heading it stops at the word except. Except what?
Thanks/mike
