The refrigerator freezes everything

I set the thermostat at 37 F, but the refrigerator insists on running at 28 F.

No, the compressor is not constantly running, but the temprature stays below freezing no matter what I set the thermostat at.

What should the temperature inside the refrigerator be, I have it set at 37

On the fresh food side you have it set at the proper temperature. Most thermostats have a scale from 1 to 7 or 9. If you set the thermostat at 5 this equates to about 37 degrees. Thermostat do lose sensitivity after a while and need to be replaces. The switch inside the thermostat wears out and the sensing bulb sometimes loses the fluid inside the sensor and the thermostat stops controlling temperature. So sounds like you have it set properly.

I have true commercial double door cooler box. The temperature stays around 28 degree if when I set it very low. it causing big problem for us because everything freezes.

If you mean by low you mean number 1? This would mean the thermostat is bad. Number 9 would freeze everything anyway. I'm leaning towards a bad thermostat. Email if you want a thermostat [email protected]

Refrigerator is freezing things at low settings

The thermostat ???? Without knowing what the original problem was, I can only guess that this the original problem. The cold control is only as good as the devices circulating the air in the refrigerator. You probably have a damper control problem. Make sure the damper between the freezer and the fresh food sections is operating properly.

Fridge keeps on freezing everything inside of it

This refrigerator only has one thermostat located in the fresh food compartment it is designed to activate the sealed system (cooling) until it reaches approximately 37 deg f in the fresh food compartment. The damper controls how fast the cold air can move from the freezer compartment to the fresh food compartment. Allowing you to control the temp in the freezer by controlling the flow of cold air to the thermostat.

You have one of two problems.
#1 your thermostat is no longer opening when it achieves set temp. fix = replace thermostat pn 61005798 $35
#2 your damper arm or assemblie has broken. Fix = Replace damper or broken arm and actuator.
damper assembly pn12001377 $44
damper actuator pn 61002000 $2
damper arm pn 61001999 $2
