When playing Call of Duty on Playstation 3 I get corruption signal? what is causing this?

1 of 2 reasons. 1. It could be slow at reading the information on the cd. 2. you have a slower internet connection. The question is, what Call of Duty? Black ops 2 installs the maps on the hard drive. That could be the only reason I could think of there. Your internet connection matters. If you are found to have a week internet connection, the lobby has to go according to the weakest signal if you're on a team.(Lag) If you are the strongest signal, then they sometimes make you the host. Witch is why, sometimes the game says "connecting to new host" if the current host leaves for any reason.

Since I don't use hacks, I am not sure what is a good source. I prefer to play as it was meant to be played: with skill. ;-)

Usually heat or bad sectors/ corrupt sectors on the hard drive will cause this issue.

I'd recommend getting two cans of compressed air, taking it outside and clearing out the dust, then when you play cod run a mini fan directly onto the unit.

COD runs heavy on the graphics hence it happening more with that game than others ;)

bad or dirty drive clean the drive and make sure disk is not scratched anywhere

if its a new game (never played) take it back for exchange and try that as well

Upgrade to the newest firmware, since 3.0 had some freezing issues with some games, if your internet connection is slow it would also cause it to freeze up

it might be the be the copy of call of duty 5 you have got it happend to me but i traded my old call of duty in and bought a new 1 and it worked fine hope this helped

If u using wireles, go on to wired, otherwise ur internet connection is to slow, so disconnecting all other equipment such as laptops, and pcs will help.
Be advised that Playstation 3 Requires quite fast conection, especially Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare & Call of Duty: World At War

So u need to improve or upgrade your conection. make sure all background downloads are paused when gaming online

if you are using a wireless connection the signal may be to weak. if not you can try deleting your game and save data. you will lose any single player saves you will also have to re download any map packs you purchased. the game should also do an update when you load again after deleting the game and save.
