Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer
Bought the washer August 4, 2006 - out of warranty - when you turn it on it goes to clean washer no matter what buttons you push - no error codes coming up on it - and last night I woke up to find it running with the lid open on the unit - unpluged it and went back to bed - my wife plugged it back in this morning and it starts running water and stops as it pleases with the lid open or closed - any suggestions other than throwing it out the door!
This is to Jsrock516, I have the model 11027042603. Washer runs through cycles but sometimes will beep continously while flashing through each soil level light, during this time washer can not be stopped but will finish all wash cycles. Sometimes when starting the washer the dial knob lights will light up in a circle not where you select. I am confused if the part I need is the User Interface #8564372 $166.76 or the Control Unit Assembly #W10155109 $143.20 both prices from Sears.com 05/29/08. I have a 15% off parts coupon and want to order the correct part. Reply here or email firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!

We had the same problem; I replaced the controller board and it fixed the issue. I also decided to add a surge protector to (hopefully) prevent this from happening again.
Wonder if there is someone at Whirlpool that would want to troubleshoot the issue?

Has anyone tried to just unplug the card and then re-seat it? I have a similar problem with a digital control panel on 4 year old Lady Kenmore.
Last year when this first begain I opened the control panel housing and re-seated all the connections. This seemed to correct the problem. Now this morning, a year later, it's come back. I will try the re-seating process again; this time with contact cleaner.

I had the same problem, and jsrock's solution was the answer! Thanks to TexAg, who mentioned the clips...
FYI, it looked to me like if you bought the part from Sears, you couldn't return it. I bought it from another website that accepts returns, even on electronic parts, just in case it didn't resolve the problem...

I have the same machine with the same problem. Looks like the part can be ordered from Sears for about $150. I took the top off of the machine and removed the cover to the interface control board, but am at a loss for how to remove the interface control board. Anyone figure this out?

There has been a noted problem with the Oasis and the particular problem(s) you just described. The problem is caused by the User Interface board which is located behind the control panel. Make sure you identify the correct board. There is a Main Control board located UNDER the console. The user interface board is located BEHIND the console where the control knob and push buttons are. The only fix for this problem is to replace the control board in the control panel. If you provide me with your model number (located around the wash tub opening under the lid somewhere), I will research a part number and price for you. I can also give you step-by-step instructions on how to repair it yourself. Post back with comments and let me know. I hope this helps you.
