Why does my blackberry curve says reload software: 513?

It sounds as if you are mis-typing your password -- and after the maximum number of allowed attempts, it automatically wipes the device clean (as a security precaution, on the assumption that you are not the "owner" of the device). What it also does, during the password retries, is to show you the password in clear text after some number of failed attempts.

As for the 513 error, here's a KB about that:

Hope something there helps!

I got my password wrong on my blackberry storm

This is a security feature in the BlackBerry. It means you have to reload the device software into the BlackBerry via a computer. All data on the phone has been erased. The device software varies depending on the model of the phone and what carrier it is used on.

Hi i have a blackberry 8700v and i forgot my password, after trying my password and when it failed it says jvm 513 reset, when i hit reset it still comes back jvm 513, can anyone help me fix this problem...

The only solution I can think of if you have had the 10 attempts and not been successful is to call your network provider - They will be able to give you the unblock code and allow you back into your phone.

Need to reload software 513 blackberry

the Application error 513, reset message says that the device OS is toasted and needs to be rebuilt. In order to do this, you need to have Blackberry Desktop manager on your computer, your data cable, and a download for your device software. Either from blackberry or your carrier. The easiest method is to download and install the device software. Once it's installed, launch desktop manager and plug in the phone. If the phone is detected, you will be prompted to update. Follow the prompts. If not, you will have to do it the hard way. open command prompt (start>run>cmd) and goto C:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\Apploader Then choose Loader /NOJVM That's going to rebuild the blackberry.
