If your receiver only has a mini plug in you will need a phono pre amp that takes phono in and pit line level out. Then you can use an rca to mini adapter to plug into your reciever.

How do I get sound from my Panasonic SA-AK110 CD stereo system to my Onkyo TX-SR606

Hi Jay Gibson, to be able to send audio from your Panasonic SA-AK110 to the Onkyo TX-SR606, you must use the Panasonic headphone output Connecting a cable with a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug at one end and two RCA at the other
The miniplug to the headphone output, you connect the miniplug and the two RCAs to the Onkio CD input
I suggest you have the volume of the Panasonic at an average level or less, so as not to saturate the Onkio's input
I hope you can hear it
Greetings Franco Dosil

I have an AIWA 50" TV (new) Model AW50K1 because the sound is so "tinny" I purchased an AIWA 2.0 channel soundbar (Model AWSBH1).

Hello Barbara, I have not been able to find the user manual of your TV Aiwa, nor the one of the Sound Bar, to know if the TV has audio output with the white and red RCA tabs, or what input the Bar has Sound
If you had them on your TV, the white and red RCA tabs, you would have to use an audio cable, with two RCA tabs on one end and on the other, a miniplug 3.5mm connector
The RCA on the TV (Audio Out) and the 3.5mm miniplug connector on the soundbar (Line In)
If you want, you can send a picture of the connections of your TV and another one of the connections of the Sound Bar
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

Hi John, if you want to play the Spotyfy music and listen to it on your sound equipment, you need a cable with a 3.5 mm stereo mini-plug at one end and at the other end two RCA connectors (red and white)
the miniplug, you connect it in the speaker output or headphones of your computer and the RCA connectors in the Auxiliary or Video input or another one that has your audio equipment (no, in the Phono input)
Greetings Franco Dosil

Brand new audio technica turntable and we’ve lost the left channel. Its not the reciever, the cd, dvd, works fine.

Use an alternative device connected to the input the turntable usually connects to. If both channels work ok the new turntable is clearly faulty and should be returned under warranty.

I expected that the RCA leads from my turntable would just plug into the back of the RCD-W500C, but the manual indicates a somewhat complex cabling arrangement through the amplifier. I have not been able...

Your new cd player/recorder is a "component piece" as is your turntable, cassette player, reel to reel or CD player. Connect it as you would any other component piece of stereo equipment. Set up your recorder to "record" in real time(not high speed or synch record). Your tape recorder records anything that is playing through your reciever to your speakers. So, treat your "CD" recorder as you would a "CASSETTE TAPE" recorder. Play your vinyl record on your turntable and record to CD on your CD recorder ! Pay special attention to the dubbing speed, you will not use "synch or high speed !! Good Luck

I have a RCA turntable that will not play without considerable distortion when plugged into the "phono" input of two different recievers. It will woek when plugged into the "Tape "input...

The RCA Lawton turntable probably has no grounding wire. Most receivers require a grounding wire from the turntable to the receiver to operate properly.

How do i hook my ipod up to play thru this receiver?

Since your receiver does not have a USB input, you will have to use the RCA auxiliary front inputs, and select fake surround to listen to it through all 6 speakers. Use the headphone output from the IPOD. You will need to buy a miniplug/miniplug cable and a adapter with a female miniplug and male RCA connectors, unless you are lucky enough to find a cable with a male miniplug on one end, and a male RCA on the other.

Hum on right channel

It doesn't really sound like this tech knew what he was doing. He probably connected the ground wire incorrectly. I would also suggest opening up the tonearm base section, and checking to see the work he did. Perhaps he did not solder the RCA leads correctly.

If all is good, then there are only 2 other things which may cause this... 1) Tonearm, 2) Cartridge. You'll have to check those 2 out.

FYI, I work on 1200s for a living, so I know these machines inside out.

How to connect turntable Technics SL BD20 to marantz SR7000 amp

Most recievers should have Phono Jacks labled on the back. That is where my Turntable an (MCS made by Technics but was sold under the J. C. Penneys name) connects on my JVC. I have 2 JVC 's One is old (1972) and one is new. Both of them have Phono jacks. Phono stands for Phonograph. This is an old term for turntables. The jacks should accept RCA patch cords. Good luck.

Hooking up ipod

THe easiest way to hook an iPod or any other personal audio player to almost any audio receiver is to pick up a cable having a stereo miniplug (like the plug on your earbuds) on one end, and two RCA plugs on the other end. You should be able to get this cable from almost any electronics or discount store for under $10. The miniplug goes in the iPod's earphone jack, and the RCA plugs connect to an unused input on your receiver. Inputs marked "AUX" or "CD" are a good choice, or even a "TAPE" input. Set the iPod to about 3/4ths volume and adjust the receivers controls for desired volume.
