Question about Symphonic WF802
SOURCE: CST.IN Light
I fixed this problem on mine today. I read the manual online and found that CST.IN light means there is a cassette in the VCR. Since I didn't have a cassette in the VCR at the time I suspected a problem with the VCR and attempted to take the unit apart to disconnect the VCR. With the cover off I powered the unit on and a wheel in the back came on until the machine shut off automatically as it has been doing. I was unable to disconnect the wires but after unscrewing most of the VCR mounting screws I tried powering on again and this time the wheel in the back shut off and the unit stayed on. I put everything back together (minus a few VCR mounting screws) and put the cover back on. My DVD player and TV controls work fine now. I put duct tape over the VCR since I don't plan to use it anyway, and I am happy.
I wish this was a better solution that I could say exactly what I did, but I can't. All I know is that it's the VCR that caused the problem and I rarely use mine anymore anyway. And I know nothing about electronic, but I figured that taking the unit apart was better than buying a new DVD player right now. If you feel the same way I suggest you give it a try. Good luck!

take it to any repair shop and have them llik it over. It probaly has something stuck in the cassette area. th repair may cost $20 to $50, most of that is what the public calls a "walk in the door fee." If your comfortable doing it yourself just take the lid off and remove whatever looks like it doesn't belong there, like pet hair or something a child could have stuck there, ie a toy or a pen. Hope this helps.

I managed to find a PDF manual for your VCR Combo, However i couldnt find anything to indicate a reason for the Cst in light flashing. I did find however find that the TIMER REC Light flashes if T-SET is pressed for a timer recording, but there is no tape in the DVD/VCR. It also flashes when all timer recordings or One-Touch Recordings are finished. So possibly this could be the light you see flashing.
The PDF can be found Here
Hope this helps
