I find when dryers aren't heating it's usually the thermal fuse or high limit safety switches. They should have contunuity through them. Another thing to check is incoming voltage at the outlet. If only 110 is coming in the dryer will spin (because that's all the motor needs to spin) and not heat. Proper voltage should be 220 to be able to power motor and heating elements nsync. If it's electric, could be timer or heat level selector switch, a relay to heating element, the heating element itself bad or the overheat thermostatic switch has failed. How old is the dryer? A lightly used replacement may be less than the repair technition and parts.
