Re: Forwarding phone

This is not a phone equipment service but rather a phone service provider service.

YOU CAN FORWARD but to do this you need to have this feature enabled by your phone service provider. Then, follow their instructions on how to enable and disable this feature based on your calling plan.

How to forward calls from this phone to my cell phone

Call forwarding is a service provided by your telephone company, and the procedure varies from company to company. With many companies, you dial *72 then at the second dial tone dial the number to which you want calls forwarded. That phone must then answer to confirm the forwarding. Dial *73 on the landline to cancel call forwarding when you return to the office.

If the above procedure doesn't work, contact your telephone company for their instructions regarding call forwarding.

Canceling call forwarding from one extention to another

On the extension that is forwarding use Feature #4 to cancel the call forwarding unless it is programmed under the capabilities section in programming. This will require someone with programming ability to make the forwarding change back to the voice mail access number.

I'm not sure if the problem is the phone set or the PBX. I have programed the phone set to forward all calls to extension and it works great. But I can not get it to toggle the forwarding on and off...

Check out the instructions for setting forwarding no answer. *7104 xxx # sets the forward and the time it requires to forward is settable in the *713 ss where ss is the number of seconds from 00-99.
A ring cycle is 6 seconds, so 24 would be about 4 rings. Once you set forwarding, you really don't have to cancel it, as even if someone is on the phone, the call waiting and display tell you who is calling and you have the timer time answer or ignore the call.

Your options are...

Option 1: Hit 7 then 2 then #. You'll hear an interrupted dial tone. Then dial the number you're forwarding to.
To cancel hit 7 then 3 then #.

Option 2: Hit * then 7 then 2. You'll hear an interrupted dial tone. Then dial the number you're forwarding to.
To cancel hit * then 7 then 2.

Call forwarding

The 50 command is for call forwarding of an individual phone, not the incoming calls. There are several conditions that have to be met to make forwarding work. First, you need your ICD group extension. It's generally 600, but we use 100 or 199 or 200 sometimes. The command is in the back of the Operations Manual (OM) and it is in the form of (assuming 600) *71416009+number#. *7140600 cancels.

Here's a copy of the manual, just in case you don't have one. Page 192 shows the sequence. You might also look at *710 command on the same page for setting forwarding. It is quicker than the 50 commands and sets the status of your FWD/DND button.

Call forwarding nec elite

Usually there are codes for call forwarding and forwarding cancel. I always program up *8 for call forward and #8 for call forward cancel. On your phone try a few numbers. First try *1 make sure you are on a phone with a display. Read the display and see what it says. If it is not what you need hangup. Then try the next number *2. Remember the #_ is usually the cancel.
Good Luck

Call fordwarding

I forward my office phone by dialing 72# and the number.

Your office phone may be on a system that did the forwarding, or you may have to CANCEL call forwarding (73#) before you can set it.
