Question about Black & Decker CHV1500 Bagless Handheld Cyclonic Vacuum
My B&D dustbuster seems to not be charging? Any suggestions. It is about 1 1/2 yrs. old.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
First make sure it's not the wall charger - use a meter or a flashlight bulb to test the 15 or so volts that should be on the contacts when the charger is plugged in but the unit is detached.
The next thing is to remove the filters and see how easily the "fan" spins - use a popsickle stick or something that won't break the plastic fan if you can't get your fingers on it. Tight bearings may indicate clogged with dust (or corrosion) or destroyed. Free bearings likely indicate a switch or battery problem (good motor.)
