Let me explain in simple words...Toshiba Pcs have Batteries getting Hot very fast. They have Recalled Batteries as well. So give Laptop Some time to Cool. Also clean your Recovery CD. Take Laptop near the fan and restart the recovery process when PC is COOL. This will work. Im sure. This worked for us and i wanted to share this with all. Dont trust Tech. Support center people. They told us that our Hard Drive ewas dead. I was shocked to hear that the PC which i worked from Morning till evenind died all of a sudden. But tried this and this worked. Try this which is simple and you will see the result

You don't need norton ghost to back up your data or get it back. You
can use Knoppix. Download or buy a Knoppix Linux CD. Put it in your PC
and make sure you have an external Hard Drive or something to put your
data on. Then use Knoppix to open your existing hard drive. When you
open your external drive right click the icon and change the read write
so that you can write to your drive if it's not already changed. Copy
all your data to your external drive. Your all set. Now you can either
reinstall XP / Vista or you can do this.
You can stop using Micro$oft products and download a Free Operating System that does not get viruses or get fragmented. It also comes with Thunderbird. It's called Ultumix.
If you want Ultumix do the following:
If you have a Desktop PC connected directly to the internet (not dial up) and a DVD burner I would recommend you go to www.mindblowingidea.com, click Ultumix, and give it a try by saving the Torrent Download Link. Then go to www.download.com and install uTorrent. You will also need to go to www.burn4free.com and install it as well. Make sure to open burn4free after installing it as well and select English. Then you may close it. Open the torrent file you downloaded in uTorrent. After you save the .iso file to your hard drive (this may take an hour or a day) right click on the .iso file and click burn4free and then Burn ISO. You will need a DVD-R or DVD+R in your DVD drive. DVD-R is recommended. After this reboot your computer and make sure to boot from the DVD drive. You may need to press additional keys during start up to get this to happen. You will see a menu that says PCLinuxOS 2007. Select LiveCD and press enter (this mode will let you try Ultumix without installing it on your hard drive). Now it will ask you some questions about your computer like what language you speak. You will most likely use Ethernet as your internet. Now you will see a screen to log in.
To try Ultumix without installing it to see what it will be like click on Owner and then type owner all lower case in the password field and press the enter key on your keyboard. Please note that it will run much slower than normal in Live Mode. When you install it it will run much faster. If you try the programs on the desktop and like them you may want to install it. We will get to that later. Open the icon marked internet and use it to get to www.hotmail.com. Get into your e-mail. If that works you should be happy. At this point I would like to point out that even though this system can't get viruses or fragmentation (unless you fill the partition over 95%) Firefox can be affected by some spyware and or trojans. If this should occur you simply click Tools > Clear All Private Data > check everything > Clear All Private Data Now.
If you want to install this on your computer you can also leave Windows on as well but you will be asked if you want to run both during setup. Click start and log out. Now click the root account and type in root all lower case. Click Install PCLinuxOS. Go threw the wizard and follow the instructions. You have the option of resizing your Windows partition and using the rest for Ultumix or erase everything and start over. Ultumix can run most windows 95, 98, and 2000 programs in WINE. You will also find that it can run some XP programs as well like Office 2003.
Have fun. If you still want to live with Micro$oft software reply to me again and I will walk you threw the painful process of protecting your computer. You will need to repeat this process I give you every 12 months or less to keep your computer running. You should also be told that in 6 months Microsoft is planning to stop extending service to XP users.
