The typewriter is set in P.S. mode instead of 10 or 12. This switch is in lower left corner of keyboard.

There is no "1" key on the Olivetti Studio 46 typewriter. How do I type the Number "1"?

Many old typewriters didn't have the digit one. Use a lowercase letter ell (L) instead.

Hi There. Not sure what key i've gone and pressed. The majority of the letters/numbers on my keyboard all work in first hand english but some of the keys where i have an option with a smaller blue number...

You have turned on the numeric keys on your laptop. It is turned off/on by the following.

Press the Num Lock key. If nothing happens, try Shift+Num Lock.
If the text Num Lock is shown in a different color, find the matching-color key, such as Alt or Fn. Then press that key in combination with Num Lock.
You’re successful when the Num Lock light comes on. At that point, the keyboard has switched into numeric keypad mode.

How to type in capital letters on facit typewriter?

You did not specify if it was a manual or electric or the model, so assuming it is a standard manual or electric machine, push down on the shift key and hold it, then type your letter or letters. If you are typing everything in caps, press the shift lock key.

HELP PLEASE!!!!

I just talked to A Brother Customer Service Agent, I have a EM-530, and was having the same problem with my keys and symbols. Turn off your typewriter, hold down your Code, Shift and Tab key at the same time. Keep holding them down while you turn your machine back on. This will restore your factory settings competely. You will have to change your margins and tabs to where you like them again. If it continues to not type the write symbols, push code and the letter "K" and watch the upper left lights with roman numerals I II & III (KB is under the numerals), when the light is just on roman number I, let up the code key, turn off for ten seconds and then turn it back on. The keyboard has now reset and all should be well.
